Trail Description: Starting from the northern trailhead, this gorgeous trail follows an old logging road downhill through a quiet hemlock forest. While the topo map may suggest a steep descent or climb, the wide, even surface makes the incline feel gentle and steady rather than strenuous. As the path winds south, it offers lovely views down into the wetlands below and then continues along the edge of the wetlands before skirting the western edge of the open field to reach the southern trailhead.
